After telling lots of people about my planned trip to the USA, it was suggested to me that I should create a blog of my trip. So after a little bit of thought, I have decided to make the blog as a record as much for myself as for others who are interested. I hope to make a interesting post daily, most of the time of what I have done, along with an interesting photograph or two, taken with my new digital SLR that I purchased just for this trip.
I have wanted to go the the USA for several years now, to see the country in real life, after only experiencing it through school, TV and internet sites. Finally this year (2011), the opportunity arose (or I took the opportunity) to finally put my dream into action.
My interests are in the finance, computers and science areas, so many of the places I want to go will be around those sorts of areas and may miss places that many other people would go if they had the opportunity to go to the United States. I plan to travel around mostly by train, with a few flights and bus rides when they are cheap and/or fit my itinerary better. At most stop-offs, I plan to take short tours of some of the local attractions. So without further ado, here is a map of most of the places I plan to visit while I am away.
